Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
Do you need a copy of Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate? Did you think you wouldn’t be able to buy a copy of this older but perfectly workable operating system anymore? You’ve come to the right place – buy it here.
Why buy Windows 7?
Although a new version of Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate can breathe new life into a PC that would otherwise be trashed, often the applications running on that old PC are far more important than the hardware. This is particularly true if an application was custom built for a specific task and reengineering it would be prohibitively expensive.
The reasons for needing a new Windows 7 are various. A hard disk may have been replaced on an older PC performing a crucial function and, if the product key is no longer available to re-authenticate the operating system, a new distribution is required.
Windows 7 releases are also often bought to upgrade PCs still running Windows XP that can’t be upgraded to Windows 10. Many older PCs have hardware that won’t run under Windows 10, or the bespoke applications aren’t Windows 10 compatible and can’t be upgraded.
Why buy the Ultimate version?
There is still strong demand for Windows 7, particularly Ultimate. If you find yourself in one of the situations described above or need a new copy of Windows 7 for any other reason, Ultimate is the best investment.
The Ultimate edition has absolutely everything in it. This can’t be said of the various lesser versions of Windows 7, such as Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional and Enterprise – they all have various applications or features disabled when compared with Ultimate.
What do you gain over other versions?
The Windows 7 Starter edition was really only for low-powered systems (mostly netbooks) and was very limited indeed.
Home Basic had many of the media playing and advanced display functions removed, no internet connection sharing and limited HomeGroup support. All of these were opened up in Home Premium.
The Professional edition adds many of the services required to connect, collaborate and backup in a working environment and the ability to run applications in XP mode. This all made Professional far more useful in a business environment when connected to a domain.
Ultimate has all of the above, plus the capability to operate fully in virtual environments and intranets using many different types of remote connections. It is also more secure, with BitLocker drive encryption, and capable of supporting virtual disk environments, including native VHD booting.
